What Makes The Difference?
That's the question you should be asking.
Home inspectors are generally a great bunch.
We inspect because we enjoy helping people and sharing information. Good home inspectors have similar credentials from recognized organizations, use the same logos, and provide similar services.
Most of our websites look alike and say the same things: “Anyone else is just looking around,” “Protect your investment,” “You should have peace of mind.” Over-used catchphrases do not make a good inspector. And none of us use magnifying glasses!
Our fees are roughly the same, depending on the inspector’s experience, with the exception of the “low price guy” in every market. Staying current with the latest building innovations and products is not a hobby; it’s a profession. It takes time, research, regular exposure to new products and education to speak credibly, giving you useable answers. Information is only good if you can understand it and put it into action.
Remarkable service is never inexpensive, but it is always worth it.
So, the question remains…

WHAT WE INSPECT
Our report is separated into the 10 major components of any house.
- Structure
- Roof
- Exterior
- Electrical
- Heating & Cooling
- Insulation & Ventilation
- Plumbing
- Interior
- Appliances
- Pool (if applicable)
Our inspection method, honed over 24 years, integrates the report writing software with the physical inspection process. This approach allows for multiple exposures to each room or component, enabling us to view them under various conditions. The redundancy ensures a comprehensive overall view of the home and uncovers specific details that might be missed with the “one and done” room-by-room method. The result is a more thorough visual examination and a comprehensive report.

Experience and longevity.
Chances are, we’ve seen that.
WHY HIRE US?
Avant Home Inspections, LLC has been conducting inspections since 2000, well before licensing was introduced in 2010. Our team includes a Master Inspector with the Florida Association of Building Inspectors (FABI) and a Certified Master Inspector with the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI). We have also been members of the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI) as Registered Professional Inspectors, strictly adhering to the standards of each organization.
We are certified by the U.S. Department of Energy as Home Energy Score Assessors and licensed by the FAA as remote pilots for operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs or drones). Additionally, we hold certifications in thermography and interior air quality assessment. While we inspect all types of homes, we specialize in coastal properties and older houses built in the early 1800s, which require a unique approach and specialized knowledge.

SAMPLE REPORT
Our reports are clear and straightforward, written in simple language that is easy to read and understand. Each report is tailored to your specific home, without the clutter of check boxes, multi-digit reference numbers, or multi-colored highlights. We provide simple statements that describe any existing or potential issues, along with sensible recommendations for improvements. Each section includes captioned pictures to help illustrate the points being made.
Each component section of the report stands alone and can be given to a recommended licensed professional if further action is needed. For example, the electrician receives the Electrical page, and the plumber gets the Plumbing page. Additionally, there is a Realtor’s Summary page that lists the most critical items in the report for their convenience.
